INTRODUCTION

The Department of Hotel Management and Catering Science has well-furnished and sophisticated infrastructure facility. It thrives to invigorate high standard and quality education in the field of Hotel Management and Catering service, since its inception in 2005.

The department has three laboratories well-embellished with training bar and restaurant, model bedroom and basic training kitchen to train the students in food production. Several seminars workshops in new trends in Industry, training in floral arrangements, fruits and vegetable carvings, outdoor catering services, juggling tricks have been rendered to adopt new techniques and challenges in Industry. Etiquettes, Situation handling, telephone handling skills are also taught.

Apart from training, kitchen carnival is held annually with pomp and splendor. The department is incorporated with associations such as HERA, SICA.

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility criteria for joining this Course

For Admission : A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination (Academic /Vocations Stream) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu; or an examination accepted as equivalent there to (like PUC) by the Syndicate, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed therefore.
