“An Understanding of Hygiene, Safety & Contamination” On 17.02.2011

Department of Hotel Management & Catering Science of Srinivasan College of Arts & Science, Perambalur, organized one day seminar on the topic “An Understanding of Hygiene, Safety & Contamination ”. Mr. K.Rajesh Kumar, Event & Conference Manager, Hotel Atithi, Pondicherry, was the Resource Person and he delivered various points of Personal Hygiene in the Kitchen, Vegetables and Meat should be store in Air tight containers to avoid the affection of odour to other food varieties, unless they are not stored separately it will be contaminated. Temperature should be maintained properly in the Refrigerator, raw materials must be cook very well or reheat before eating, from above reasons we can avoid Food Contamination, Food Poisoning, many Diseases, Stomach Problem too… had been specifically explained. In the interaction session students clarified their doubts regarding the Food Hygiene, Safety & Contamination.

The seminar was presided over by Shri. A.SRINIVASAN, Founder & Chairman, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Group of Institutions. The Principal Prof.A.Mutharasu and the Vice – Principal Ms.R.Sasidhara felicitated. P. M.Karunanithi of III B.Sc., Hotel Management Welcomed the gathering and Kalesh Mathew of II B.Sc., Hotel Management proposed the vote of thanks. Heads of the Department of Hotel Management Mr. S.Yoganand and lecturers N.Ramesh, Ms.Sasikala had made the arrangements. Students of B.Sc., Hotel Management & Maths, and Chemistry were among those function.
